The smart sofa system designed by Christophe de la Fontaine receives the acknowledgment from a jury including some of the most sought after Architects, Designers, Journalists, Architectural Photographers and Creative Directors worldwide.
The award ceremony took place the historic Visconti Pavilion, where more than 1000 invited guests, including architects, designers, brand representatives, but also influencers and art directors from various countries, came together to honour design excellence and celebrate winning brands. The winners received a trophy designed by Spanish studio MUT Design and fabricated by De Castelli for this edition with a DeMarea Brass finish.
With its first prototypes launched during 2021 Salone del Mobile, Serpentine takes the challenge of rethinking a modern sofa by incorporating different seating solutions in one fluid object – the alternation of back and leg support mimics the functionality of a classic seat, a pouf, and a chaise longue.
