Shane Schneck was born in Chicago and studied architecture at Miami University. In 1999 he worked for Piero Lissoni as a product designer in Milan.

He has worked on many projects for Alessi, Cappellini, Fritz Hansen, Flos, Olivari and other major companies. He has designed the Ru Chair and various accessories for Hay. Shane Schneck has a studio in Stockholm – his designs range from chairs to accessories for mobile phones.
